NIKE.NET PRIVACY POLICY

The following privacy policy describes how Nike Retail B.V. (“Nike”, “we” or “us”) collects, protects and uses personal data received from visitors to the Nike.net site and any other linked Nike sites (“Site”). The Site is provided for the use and convenience of Nike and certain retailers, factories, carriers, consolidators, service providers, vendors and other authorized parties who do business with Nike and a selection of their specified employees or associates ("you”).

 

COLLECTION AND USE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

You need to create a user account profile to purchase Nike products using the Site. This also enables Nike to fulfill its contractual obligations with you. Nike will need to collect your personal data, such as your e-mail address, in order to create your user account profile with the Site.

We also collect and use all personal data you submit while using the Site. This personal data includes your name, job title, e-mail address, user-id and password. We also may track and store information about your activities while using the Site (e.g., what pages you visit, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), what documents you download and methods used to browse away from the site). Technical information collection by the Site includes the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform.

You may give us information about yourself when you submit a query using the submission form on the Site. This may include your name, email address, address, phone number and any other additional information that you may choose to provide us with.

PURPOSES OF OUR COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA

  • Third party service providers (data processors) processing personal data on Nike’s behalf, such as those service providers who host and manage the Site or assist Nike with its financial management and invoicing.

  • Other third parties to the extent necessary to: (i) comply with a government request, a court order or applicable law; (ii) prevent illegal uses of our Site or violations of our Site’s Terms of Use and our policies; (iii) defend ourselves against third party claims; and (iv) assist in fraud prevention or investigation (e.g., counterfeiting). 

  • Any other third party where you have provided your consent.

We may also transfer personal data we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a reorganization, spin-off, dissolution or liquidation).

 

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

The personal data we collect (or process) in the context of our Site will be stored in a central database in the USA. When we transfer your personal data to recipients in other countries, including the USA, we will protect that personal data as described in this privacy policy and in compliance with applicable law.

Where personal data is transferred within Nike, we use an intragroup data transfer agreement.

Your personal information will be retained for as long as is necessary to carry out the purposes set out in this privacy policy (unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law). In general, this means that we will keep your personal data for the duration of our contract with you or where we need to comply with our legal obligations (for example, for warranty, tax and sales law purposes).

 

REMOVAL OF USER ACCOUNT PROFILE INFORMATION

Please contact us at Privacy.Office@nike.com in order to remove the user account profile information you have provided to us. You can also use this email address to notify us if you wish to exercise any of your other rights (for example to update, access, rectify, export or delete your personal data).

 

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

If we decide to change this privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page or inform you per e-mail in case of significant changes.
